As a local businessman, Ira is a proud member of the Better Business Bureau, the Builders Association of Western Nevada, the Nevada Federation of Independent Businesses, and the International Association of Plumbing and Mechanical Officers.

 

Because of the experience Ira brings - three decades as a small businessman - he has first hand knowledge of the day to day realities of business challenges and how a healthy business environment in the State of Nevada is a crucial component in the battle to revive our economy and stimulate job creation for our communities. 

Starting in his childhood, Ira learned the value of hard work and determination and after graduating from Sparks High School, Ira married his sweetheart and began his life in business. Ira opened his own business and through hard work and tenacity, grew the business into one of the leading plumbing companies in the Reno/Sparks area. He has been a licensed contractor for over 33 years, and is a proud contributor to the economy of our community.

Ira’s understanding of the challenges business owners face makes him an invaluable asset in the Nevada legislature. Rather than a purely theoretical understanding of economics and business, Ira brings the value of real life experience to a dangerously unbalanced legislature.
